TV’s Wheeler Dealers - the programme that buys cars and fixes them up for a profit - is returning to the Discovery Channel on Monday evening (1 September) with a new series. In it, presenters Mike Brewer and Edd China will restore their 100th car. Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, announced the firm's intentions to revive the fabled Lagonda marque in a statement to the media yesterday. "After my eight years with Aston Martin, four with profitability, and 16 months of independence, it's time to think about a longer term future." Bez said.
Matteo Conti has been appointed senior tutor at the Royal College of Art in the latest of a series of new appointments. Conti, who joins from Northumbria University, will take up his position on 1 May and be program manager for the first year course and be responsible for curriculum development and coordinating external projects. He will also contribute to the second year teaching and research activities.
